Thank you for Inspirational Holy Week Services

A heartfelt "Thank You" is extended to all those, who shared their presence, prayers and gifts from Ash Wednesday through Holy Week's worship services. We acknowledge a special appreciation to Pastor Lindsy for her spiritual leadership, theological direction and inspirational sermons throughout the forty days of lent and during Holy Week. Thank you for special words of wisdom from Janet Stevenson and Betty Harmon. 

Words alone cannot express the indebtedness we feel to Peter Mercer for his artistic, theatrical and musical creativity he shares regularly in worship services, and for the heightened sense of meaning and drama he added to worship services from Palm Sunday through Easter this year. His dramatic backdrops for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday endowed worship with a sense of place, a rich setting for the other players to speak, sing, act and dance. Bouquets of roses are showered upon Liz Hazen and Janet Stevenson for their inspiring solos, upon the song team for musical voices that lift our hearts and upon the liturgical dancers and their dance teacher, Rosalie Branigan, for meaningful performances during worship on Good Friday and Easter. 

Thank you to those who decorated the church, contributed lilies to decorate the Easter cross and brought cut flowers for the outdoor cross. Early birds who attended sunrise worship on Easter appreciated the hearty breakfast with hot cross buns served by the mens group. Worshipers relished the tasty treats prepared and served by dedicated hands each Sunday for fellowship after worship. No contribution went unnoticed. Each contribution enriched our lives. The palms and banners on Palm Sunday, the wash basins and towels on Maundy Thursday, the nails on Good Friday, the additional smiles of joy on Easter Sunday. Thank you to all members of our church family for being part of our Easter joy.
